Since 2015

Fostering community growth

Before launching InformerOnline, founders Remco Frühauf and Peter Potters decided that they wanted to give back to people who were born in a more challenging life through their charity.

They were determined to continue this vision when they released InformerOnline.

Founders Vision

Our CEO, Remco Frühauf, and CCO, Peter Potters, decided to do something special for people on the "unlucky side" of the line by using their expertise in accounting programs.

Empowering charity foundations

Charity foundations marked as 'Public Benefit Organization' are able to use InformerOnline for free, leaving them more time and money to focus on what really matters to them.

Additional annual donation

Every year, one of the PBO's working with Informer is selected to receive a percentage of the company's profit, giving them an extra boost towards reaching their goals.
Since 2016

Prioritizing ecological responsibility

To ensure that our carbon footprint is limited, our software runs on carbon-neutral servers from Amazon.

In addition, our office is heated with a geothermal heat pump and we try to work paperless as much as possible, so that even we - as software providers - are able to contribute too.

"We are the first generation to be affected [by climate change], but also the last to be able to do anything about it"
Said Remco & Peter.

Since 2021

Elevating user awareness

For us, it is important that not only we ourselves, but also our users understand their impact. That's why in 2021 we launched the Sustainability widget in our software. In it, users are made aware of what they save in terms of carbon, water, trees and energy by invoicing online instead of on paper.

Moreover, as a user you can plant your own tree for free - to compensate for your internet usage necessary for our software. In the sustainability widget, users can track the status of the tree and its farmer.

5 Impact Areas

The B Impact Assessment consists of 5 major aspect for which we earned points to qualify for B Certification. Discover more about these 5 impact areas.

Impact area 1 - Governance: 20.8 points
Governance assesses the company’s overall mission, commitment to social and environmental impact, ethics, and transparency. Additionally, through the Impact Business Model ‘Mission Locked,’ we demonstrate that, according to our statutes, our decisions consider not only our usual stakeholders but also the interests of society, our surroundings, and the environment.
Impact area 2 - Workers: 28.2 points
The Workers aspect evaluates how the company manages financial security, health and safety, career development, and employee satisfaction. We scored well in this area, partly due to our policy of providing opportunities to individuals who face challenges in the job market.
Impact area 3 - Community: 35.8 points
The Community aspect focuses on how a company interacts with the communities in which it operates. A key part of this area is charitable involvement, particularly with foundations. Since day one, we’ve been offering our package for free to clubs and organizations, earning us the ‘Designed to Give’ designation—another Impact Business Model.
Impact area 4 - Environment: 6.4 points
The Environment aspect examines the impact a company has on the planet, covering topics such as energy management, water usage, and material recycling.
Impact area 5 - Customers: 6.0 points
The ethical aspect is particularly important when it comes to Customers. How does the company handle customer data and privacy? Does it go the extra mile for clients who may need additional support? We excelled in this area with an Impact Business Model by supporting Purpose Driven Enterprises, notably through donating our accounting program to clubs and organizations.
